Distanced Positivity Donates 7 Tablets to RegalCare in New Haven

This Tuesday we had the amazing opportunity to drop off our first batch of 7 donated tablets to RegalCare in New Haven! We came ready with our masks on but were sure to smile with our eyes. We were greeted by two super friendly members of the RegalCare staff, Morgan Lovell, the therapeutic recreation director, and Amelia Fiore, the administrator of RegalCare New Haven. They printed out certificates with thank you notes to express their gratitude. They are excited to share these tablets with the seniors to spark joy in their lives. RegalCare at New Haven has 150 residents staying for both long term and temporary care, and many of them will benefit greatly from having technology as a part of their lives. Ms. Lovell and Ms. Fiore informed us that the tablets would be used not only to help the residents video chat with their families and friends, but also as a resource for entertainment and activities like drawing and playing chess online. We included a short instruction packet for each tablet with basic instructions of how to use them, which we hope will help both nurses and residents begin to navigate the devices.

We would like to extend our thanks and gratitude to all of our donors and supporters who have made this first delivery possible. Again, thank you so much.
